Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic

The Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic at the University of Florida sees patients with a wide range of symptoms and disease processes. We take referrals from pediatricians all over Florida and surrounding Southeast, for abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, inflammatory bowel disease, and many other digestive issues. New patients are seen until the age of 21. Our clinic is located in the Shands Medical Plaza at 1549 Gale Lemerand Drive in Gainesville, FL.

Pediatric Liver Transplant Clinic

The Pediatric Liver Transplant Clinic at the University of Florida sees patients with liver and multivisceral transplants. At each transplant clinic visit the patient can meet with a dietician, social worker, physician, and transplant coordinator. This clinic is also located at the Shands Medical Plaza.


Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic (IBD)

The IBD Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic established in 2013, to help address the complex needs for children and their families navigating Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis. In this clinic, a gastroenterologist, psychologist, social worker, and dietician are available to address health concerns associated with IBD. This clinic serves the largest population of children with inflammatory bowel disease in North Central Florida, and offers access to nutritional therapies, state of the art testing like wireless capsule endoscopy and MRI Enterography, and all the cutting-edge treatment options. Our program participates in clinical research projects as well as Improve Care Now, which is a national quality improvement initiative for the care of children with IBD. Remission rates are improved when children are cared for at ICN-affiliated hospitals. Our center has proudly improved our remission rates greater than 80%.

Intestinal Rehabilitation Clinic

The intestinal rehabilitation clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic, held twice a month. At each visit, a gastroenterologist, surgeon, and dietitian are available to help coordinate the care of children with intestinal failure or, or short bowel syndrome. This clinic is also at Medical Plaza

Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) Clinic

The EoE clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic, held once a month. At each visit, a gastroenterologist, allergist, and dietitian are available to help coordinate the care of children with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE). This clinic is also at Medical Plaza

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Clinic

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic held twice a month. At each visit, a gastroenterologist, Pulmonologist, and dietitian are available to help coordinate the care of children with Cystic Fibrosis. This clinic is also at Medical Plaza
